Specialization

  • Trauma & Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT)
Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT) uses the brain’s innate ability to adapt to change in a healing way, essentially “retraining” the brain to respond differently to familiar memories of trauma or pain.
  • Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment
These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Facilities that treat patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders provide psychiatric treatment in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
  • Residential Treatment
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
  • Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

I believe that every person is doing the best they can with the circumstances and tools they've accumulated. I love engaging in crucial conversations that help others see a new way to think and behave. People are amazingly resilient. Everyone is capable of change, and my favorite part of being a counselor is watching that change happen. I utilize EMDR, Narrative Therapy, and ACT techniques to help people heal from trauma, anxiety and addiction. Maple Mountain has an atmosphere of love and belonging that creates a safe place to heal. The best part of my job is knowing that my clients are taken care of and loved here at Maple Mountain. Clients are able to make progress quickly here, and it is beautiful to watch. I look forward to working with you!

ABOUT MAPLE MOUNTAIN RECOVERY

Established in 2014, Maple Mountain Recovery is an upscale facility that provides residential treatment for adults struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. Located in the picturesque, rural community of Mapleton, Utah, the center is one of 17 substance abuse treatment facilities in the state accredited by The Joint Commission.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Upon admission, clients undergo a comprehensive evaluation and assessment to guide clinicians in forming a customized treatment plan. Clients are also pre-screened and receive a free, initial assessment to ensure the program is an appropriate level of care.

Maple Mountain Recovery offers a wide spectrum of substance dependence treatments and holistic concepts that address the mind, body, and spirit. Core programming includes individual and group counseling, as well as other evidence-based therapies.

To address co-occurring disorders, neurofeedback sessions, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Cranial Electrotherapy Simulation (CES), address trauma. Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) helps clients improve mindfulness and better emotional stability. Ongoing psychiatric evaluations and medication management may also be integrated to treat co-occurring mental health disorders.

Holistic offerings include guided meditation, nature walks, yoga, and Tai Chi. Recreational therapy, fitness regimens, and nutritional counseling also play a role in programming. The innovative Serenity BioSound Lounge utilizes vibrations, audio, and sound to calm clients and relieve anxiety.

This place is by far the best rehabilitation program I’ve been in. Anybody who doesn’t comply will place their perception on the place in a negative way but it takes work to be willing. When you are willing it’s one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. A fresh start.

Amazing staff doing great things to help those who are suffering with addiction and mental health issues!

JDR

This treatment center is toxic and dangerous. The employees do not know what they are doing. I felt unsafe the entire time I was at this place. The management and staff are so disconnected seems like they are fighting with each other. The therapists are a joke. I would never recommend this place to anyone. This place is dangerous.
